Birding the DoSeum
Birding The DoSeum was a participatory
exhibition at The DoSeum by artist Mark Menjivar.
The project invited guests to explore the museum by looking and
listening for twelve bird installations. The exhibition signage took the form
of “birding centers” with information, prompts, and field guides to help guests
identify the bird installations they found and learn about birds’
lives. The
signage and field guides are typeset in Styrene, a geometric family that is
inviting to young readers and known for its distinctive shapes and elongated
forms.
